compassionate. heart-led.
My name is Patricia Mirth (she/her), and I am a Filipina living in Port Alberni, BC. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #23189), poet, and workshop facilitator with a Master’s degree in Clinical Counselling. I’m passionate about offering alternative ways of healing that centre your story, identity, dreams and challenges. I believe healing doesn’t have to look one way — I create a space where creativity, rest, and authenticity are centred as meaningful pathways toward growth.
My work is rooted in anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and decolonizing approaches to care. Drawing from my background as a poet, meditation teacher, and workshop facilitator, my offerings invite curiosity, reflection, and connection to the self and community. I hope to create soft, brave spaces where people feel seen, understood and empowered.

what our sessions can look like
authentic. person-centred. anti-oppressive.
In all my sessions, I strive to show up as an authentic human. No blank slate here. I am honest and kind in my delivery, centring co-regulation (my nervous system helping out yours), accountability (I gently call you in, when needed), and learning at your unique pace (I do not push for change, instead create opportunity for it). Therapy sessions can be a blend of talk therapy, somatic processing, and expressive writing tools.
I centre you, your story, your pace. As an anti-oppressive counsellor, immigrant and settler, I commit to the decolonization of my practices and daily life. I recognize how culture, environment, ancestry, values, and beliefs shape each of our experiences. I name systems of oppression as they come up in session and will advocate for justice, equity, and cultural care.
